About the Author: Lyle Morris
I am currently a 2010-11 Next Generation Fellow with The National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR), where I focus on U.S.-China relations and Northeast Asia security affairs.
Prior to NBR, I was a research intern with the Freeman Chair in China Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Previously, I lived in Beijing for four years, studying Mandarin Chinese at Peking University and IUP and later working as an account manager at Dentsu and as an editor and reporter at the China Economist magazine. My work has been featured in such publications as YaleGlobal magazine, The China Brief, and the China Economist.
I received an MA in international affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, specializing in international security policy and East Asian affairs, and received my BA in International Business from Western Washington University.
