The China Reader is a bilingual news aggregator dedicated to sharing and analyzing international security and domestic issues related to China. The site draws on both English and Chinese language news sources to provide a mix of Western and Chinese perspectives on China and how it is perceived both inside and outside the country. About the Author:
Lyle Morris is a graduate student at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs specializing in International Security Policy and East Asian Affairs. Before attending graduate school, he lived in Beijing for four years where he studied Mandarin Chinese at Beijing University and IUP and later worked as an account manager at Dentsu working on Lenovo Computer’s 2008 Olympic advertising campaign. He was recently an editor and reporter at the China Economist magazine and a research intern at CSIS, publishing two articles on China’s labor law and Chinese perceptions of U.S. power. He received his B.A. in International Business from Western Washington University.
